First cast of tiny test doll

This is the first cast from the plaster waste mold. I really like the result but I still need to refine all the parts before I make the master mold. After I clean and smooth each part then I'll soft fire in the kiln to 018.  The soft fired parts will be refined again and then used to make the final plaster mold.

Side Project

More Bathers! I started this project during the making of the Bather collection. It began with sketches Inspired by faded photos of summer bathers and 1960's color blocking. Then turned into gouache paintings, sculptures and finally a few bags with bather faces. Still working on the molds for the tiny bather but bags and paintings are finished and in my esty shop. It was a fun distraction...now on to the new doll collection!
