Dear Japan
Friday March 11th 2011 an 8.9 Earthquake hit Japan and caused a Tsunami wave train. The water flowed at a rate of over 350 km/h. Anything in its path was washed away.
So much devastation in a country I love.
My heart goes out to everyone affected by this disaster.

Just found this wonderful non-profit organization Shelterbox (http://www.shelterboxusa.org). They provide families with the the most basic needs of shelter, warmth and dignity. Boxes are filled basic necessities like a tent, blankets, a stove and even creative relief for the children in a box of crayons. You can even track the box! I'm very impressed with the simplicity of this concept.

I felt the same sorrow when watching the news... Tokyo is one of my favorite cities in the world where I visit yearly.
